Combating Antisemitism in K-12 Schools

Josh Herst is an entrepreneur and technology executive with 30+ years of experience launching and scaling mission-driven businesses. His career includes leadership roles at Microsoft and Expedia, as well as serving as CEO of Walk Score, where he helped build the widely used and cited platform for measuring and understanding place and location. He also co-founded Joon Care, a company focused on expanding access to evidence-based mental health care for teens and young adults. Outside of his professional work, Josh is a baseball dad, outdoor enthusiast, and avid reader of history.

Tamar Caspi is the co-founder of PeerK12, a nonprofit dedicated to unapologetically fighting institutional antisemitism in K–12 education through advocacy, community organizing, and legal action. She has a robust media and communications background as a published author, syndicated columnist, and television and radio news producer, and as a public relations and communications strategist she represents leading Jewish advocacy influencers with a collective reach in the millions. Tamar founded and served as board president of Kavod Charter School and held various leadership roles in the San Diego Jewish community since 2005. She was recently re-elected to her third term on the Navajo Community Planning Group board in San Diego’s District 7.

Sharon is a passionate advocate for K-12 education. A “critical” parent activist since 2023. She works to ensure parent schools prioritize academic excellence not indoctrination. Before stepping into advocacy, she built a successful career as in-house global leadership, coalition-building, and strategic influence within multinational organizations. Sharon holds a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.
