JewishERGs is proud to share that our founder, Steven Phillips, was recently published on the JNS Wire detailing our origins and the recent Antisemitism Breakfast Briefing
The piece traces how JewishERGs came to be: a small group of colleagues meeting for drinks in London back in 2019, a mandatory diversity training in 2020 that never once mentioned Jews, and a grassroots Employee Resource Group built without official approval because the need was too clear to wait for permission. After October 7, 2023, that community grew rapidly, eventually leading Steven to leave his corporate career to focus on it full time.
Today, JewishERGs connects more than 500 members across 230+ workplaces in eight countries, all working to build stronger Jewish community at work.
As the article puts it, this work was never really about fighting antisemitism head-on. It’s about giving Jews the space to bring Jewish joy into their workplaces, because that does more to counter hate than any policy or briefing ever could.
